What is the Skilled Swing Bed Program?

The Skilled Swing Bed (SSB) Program at Hodgeman County Health Center is designed to provide the specialized care and services you need to recover fully after major surgery or an extended illness. This program offers a bridge between hospital care and returning home, letting you regain your maximum level of health and independence before leaving our facility.

Our skilled services include Physical Therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Wound Care provided by Certified Wound Care Nurses, and much more. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare.

Who Can Benefit from the Skilled Swing Bed Program?

The Skilled Swing Bed Program is ideal for patients who are not quite ready to return home after a hospital stay. This includes those recovering from:

  • Major surgeries, such as joint replacements or abdominal procedures.

  • Extended illnesses that require ongoing care or rehabilitation.

  • Complex wound care that needs specialized attention.

  • Chronic conditions that have worsened and need short-term skilled care.
