Must be 16 years of age or older to be considered for this position. Needs to be able to read, write, and communicate with others. Possess interpersonal skills needed to function in a “team” setting.
This position is primarily a food service assistant but the goal is to be trained on the different job descriptions such as cook to provide flexibility and versatility in scheduling to meet the needs of the department. As a food service assistant this position will assist the cook with preparation of the meal as needed and setting up trays. Is responsible for taking the food to the floors and serving hospital trays and LTC meals. Assume the cleaning of both dining rooms. Wash dishes in a sanitary manner.
